Exhibited as part of the Under.Ground exhibit. Fecund ocean imagery projected to a central hanging screen under hundreds of suspended root systems, slowed to 60% of its normal speed. The reduced speed of the imagery is just enough to be perceptible, giving the work a slow, meditative feel. The projection addresses the nature of the unconscious: the deeper one delves below the surface, the deeper one dives into the unknown.
The installation featured a performance of a composition by Clayton Thomas and Scott Horscroft for four double basses and electronics.
The Under.Ground exhibition was featured on The Program, an initiative of the Australia Council for the Arts.
